About Us

We are a local, grassroots company

PortlandOregon.com was created to help our community find and share information in an effort to enrich community interaction and promote the support of local businesses. We hope you find PortlandOregon.com lives up to its name, reflecting what we believe is the best community in the world. We are working feverishly to create new publications and services for the site that enrich our city and promote the benefits of local commerce.

This site and company started from the vision of a single Portlander who believed that the best businesses enrich the communities around them. We hope you see that goal reflected in our Publications and the services we create. As part of this commitment, we develop five free community services for every advertising service we create to keep our lights on.

PortlandOregon.com is Portland's most comprehensive website for finding and sharing information about local businesses, events, activities, places, community news, opinions and advice.

SUPPORTLANDOREGON

We believe that the best companies are those that recognize there is far more to a business than making money. Our company's mission is to enrich our community while creating sustainable local business. SUPPORTLANDOREGON will be a local campaign to encourage our users and business members to contribute back to local, not for profit organizations through the donation of time and money.

This mirrors our belief that a stronger community makes for a stronger economy.

OTHER CITIES?

While we live in Portland and developed the site to specifically serve this community, we recognize there are other great cities outside Portland. We are exploring the licensing of our codebase and proprietary framework for other communities around the world. If you represent a city outside Portland, Oregon, a better business bureau or serve as an entrepreneur who wishes to replicate our efforts, please contact us for more information about our licensing services.

CREDITS

Stumptown Publishing thanks Bryan Capitano and his team at Sync Interactive for their dedication and support on the development of PortlandOregon.com. Without their involvement, PortlandOregon.com would not be the success it is. I consider Bryan a friend and business partner who we intend to work with for many years to come.
