Efterklang's new record, Magic Chairs, is hot off the presses, and the group's third full-length sweeps through a set of headphones with the same orchestrated power rock as the band's first two (think Arcade Fire with a Nordic accent). Magic Chairs is a record stocked with string arrangements, creative percussion and multi-tracked vocals, aided onstage by the local siblings Broderick (that's Peter and newest member Heather, for those scoring at home), who help the Denmark-based band take flight. Efterklang's infrequent leaps across the pond make this North American tour a rare opportunity to catch this group of frighteningly talented Danes.
