I really wanted to like this place, with good recommendations from others and the desire to get good high-end Mexican food in Portland. The guacamole appetizer was great, with a unique sprinkling of fried garlic and the tamarind margarita was good. My main of chili rubbed tuna was pretty awful. The tuna was stringy and chilled in the center and was over seared and chewy/tough on the outside. It was served with under cooked, unseasoned veggies, and a overly potent meyer lemon topping with capers. My wife had the shrimp crepes which were very tasty, but drowning in a big pile of coleslaw that overwhelmed some of the spicy creme flavor.
Service was outstanding though and our server was aware that we weren't fully enjoying our meal and accommodated us well. Because of that I would try it again but will steer clear of the tuna/seafood next time.

I've been here multiple times for dinner and each time it has been great food for a really great price. For 2 people we've been able to get a drink, meal, and dessert for under $30. While sandwiches and salads are the staple for the menu, I've enjoyed the changing dinner items more. The desserts here are also great, and all items are $5.
Pros: Price, quality, dinner menu
