The Fresh Pot on Mississippi Ave. has one of the single best atmospheres for Portland Coffee Shops!  No wonder they have filmed movies here...  I love the layout, love the fact you can take in the street scene from a perfectly placed bar stool at the southeast corner of the shop.  Oh and sorry, the coffee is solid.  Watch out for a line on a Sunday morning!!!!

I can't say enough about the ambiance of The Fresh Pot on Mississippi.  I love this place.  I love the atmosphere, the layout, the way it sits perched slightly off the sidewalk...  The bar stools, the finishes, the way the barista bar lays out.. it is great.  The coffee is solid.  I can't give it 4 stars because I have never walked away with my hair blown back, but it is very good.  If I were to be one of those people who sit and work or just sit and read the paper in a coffee shop (nothing against those people, I frankly wish I could do that..) I would go to the Fresh Pot to do it.  People watching is great as well and the scene on Mississippi Ave. is always great... good vibe all the way around.
