The guy who runs this shop is really nice.  I just dig the place... isn't too proud of itself, it has a great reputation and the selection is strong.  If they don't have something you are looking for, they will almost always order it.  The prices are competitive even when matched against the likes of Freddies, etc.

The Business name is true to form. I have been buying wine from Great Wine Buys for 3+ years now and I can say without hesitation that it is one of, if not the best spot to buy wine in Portland.  The staff and related service is always spot on!  Sincere, candid advice is all I ask for and that is what they offer.  The prices are "great" and the selection is always strong.  To put a simple wrap on this review, let me finally say that the location is great for folks who live in close-in northeast!

This is a great shop.  They currently have an absurd deal on a certain wine that I'm not going name because I still need to go back and buy another case.

Good location, great wine selection, good deals, and knowledgable staff.  The owners are super cool and helpful too.  They have great ideas, sell in bulk if needed - everything you want in a neighborhood wine shop.
